Naomi Wong, a pianist hailing from Toronto, is presently pursuing her performance studies at the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Steven Philcox and Enrico Elisi. Naomi's exceptional talent has earned her numerous accolades, including the Grand Prize at the 2020 International Music Festival and Competition, as well as the prestigious Hnatyshyn Foundation's Developing Artist Grant for Classical Piano in 2021. This grant is awarded annually to a promising young Canadian performer. Naomi is an active performer, both as a concerto and solo artist, and has had the privilege of playing with the University of Toronto Campus Philharmonic Orchestra, Kindred Spirits Orchestra, and North York Concert Orchestra. In 2020, Naomi was also invited to perform with the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra and Skule Orchestra. Naomi's passion and education began at six-years-old when her mother inspired her to pursue music. Ken Marple at the University Settlement Music and Arts School further provided her with the opportunity to pursue a career in performance. Currently, Naomi's teachers, Enrico Elisi and Steven Philcox, continue to nurture her growth as a musician and provide her with invaluable guidance and support. Naomi is immensely grateful for the wisdom, kindness, and guidance of her teachers.
