BIO⎥ EZEKIEL SOKOLOFF 🎻 Strings – Violin

Ezekiel Sokoloff is a 17-year-old student of Eugene Watanabe and is currently enrolled in the Gifted Music School in Salt Lake City, a comprehensive pre-college conservatory program. He is a four-year recipient of the Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation Scholarship. At the young age of 12, Zeke made his orchestral debut with the Utah Symphony and later had a second solo performance with the symphony in the fall of 2021. Zeke is an accomplished musician, having won first prize in several national level competitions, including the MTNA Junior Nationals (2019), ENKOR Grand Prize Winner for the string division (2020), OPUS National Strings Competition (2021), Vancouver Symphony Young Artists Concerto Competition (2021), and the Ronald Sachs International Music Competition (2022). In addition to his musical achievements, Zeke is also actively involved in community service. In 2020, he raised funds to donate 30 violins to his school's outreach program and currently volunteers weekly to educate students.
