BIO

New York violinist Rebecca Beato began her violin studies at age four and currently studies with Viktor Basis. In 2022, she was chosen as a semi-finalist and Achievement Award winner at the 25th annual Sphinx Competition Junior Division. Rebecca has been awarded at the Rudolf Barshai International Strings Competition (2021), Camerata Artist International Concerto Competition (2021), Lyra Music Competition (2021), VIVO International Music Competition (2018, 2019 and 2020), New York Solo Competition (2019) and Cremona International Music Competition (2016). She gave her first solo performance with the Cremona International Music Academy orchestra at the age of 10 in Italy. Rebecca co-authored and was lead co-illustrator of the children’s book “Who is Florence Price?”, featured on NPR and the Good Morning America. She was granted The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Young Scholars Award in 2019 and has appeared on NPR’s “From The Top” show in 2020.
