Nikolay Marinov is a Bulgarian pianist, currently studying at the National Academy of Music in Sofia. He started playing piano at age six, and since then, has participated in more than 40 international competitions throughout Europe and the USA, winning many first prizes and laureate awards. Nikolay has performed as a soloist with orchestra in Europe and the USA now 15 times. His first recital was held at the age of eight, followed by many recitals in Bulgaria, Brussels, Paris, and beyond. He was honoured to be the only child invited to ever give a solo recital during the 52nd International Chamber Music Festival in Plovdiv (2016). Nikolay has participated in masterclasses with Dmitri Bashkirov, Boris Slutsky, Itamar Golan, Jason Kwak, and Julian Martin. He is a three-time prize-winner of the award from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture for high creative achievements.
