Italian flutist Franco Ascolese graduated in flute performance from the Conservatorio di Musica 'Giuseppe Martucci' Salerno in Italy under the guidance of Salvatore Lombardi. After a year at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, he is currently enrolled in his Master’s in Music Performance in Lugano, studying with Andrea Oliva. He has performed in masterclasses with Emmanuel Pahud, Sir James Galway, Patrick Gallois, Jean-Claude Gèrard, Andrea Manco, and others. He has performed in concert at the Beethoven House in Bonn, Germany; Scriabin Hall in Moscow, Russia; Palazzo Montecitorio in Rome and Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Italy; TASIS Hall in Lugano, Switzerland, and Carnegie Hall in New York, USA. Since 2019 he has attended the annual SOLO Advanced Training Course with flutist Andrea Griminelli.
