EVAN PYNE 🎻 violinist

BIO

Since his solo orchestral debut at the age of 11 with the Canadian Sinfonietta, violinist Evan Pyne has performed concerti with the North York Concert Orchestra and Cambridge Symphony Orchestra. He placed third at the International Ilona Fehér Violin Competition in Budapest (2019), and won First Prize in the Canadian Music Competition (2018). At the 8th International Noche en Madrid Competition, he placed second in his age group in the solo category and first in the chamber category. In 2021, Evan placed fourth at the Rudolph Barshai International Strings competition and was a finalist at the 13th International Grumiaux Competition. Evan has been awarded at the Kiwanis and North York music festivals and Unionville Music Academy Competitions. He received one of 10 awards of excellence from the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in 2021. He studies with Marie Bérard and currently plays on an award-winning violin made by Maurizio Tadioli.
