Russian pianist Aleksandra Ilyasova began playing the piano at six years old. She is currently a student at Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music, studying with Elena Berezkina. In 2021 Aleksandra was a first prize laureate of III John Field International Competition (Ireland-Russia). She has had the wonderful opportunity to play with an orchestra already on several occasions: she was the 2020 second prize winner of Concert for Piano and Orchestra All-Russian Competition. Some of her current repertoire includes Bach’s Concerto No. 5 in F minor, and the first movements of both Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major and Mozart’s Concerto No. 8 in C Major.
