BIO⎥ ALEXANDER LIU 🎹 Piano

Alexander Liu is an eleven-year-old pianist from Short Hills, NJ, who began studying piano at the age of five and a half. He has studied with renowned teachers such as Ms. Felicia Feng Zhang (NCTM and RCM Teacher of Distinction). Diyi Tang, Professor Miyoko Lotto, and currently studies with Professor Orli Shaham at the Juilliard Pre-College. Alex has already won several awards, including the 1st Prize in the XIII Chopin International Competition 2022, 1st Prize in the Anselmo Academy IV International Youth Competition, and 1st Prize in the VI Paderewski International Piano Competition in 2021. He has also performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Isaac Stern Auditorium, and New York Town Hall, among others. Alex has been featured in two seasons of a TV show named Gifted Young Pianist Season and won the Sound Symphony Concerto Competition at age 10. In addition to his accomplishments, Alex has achieved First Class Honors with Distinction in RCM Music Theory Level 8 and First Class Honors with Distinction in RCM Piano Level 10. Despite his busy schedule, Alex volunteers his time as a Youth Leader in Piano Village Foundation/All Talent Academy Community Program and as a volunteer piano tutor in Tutoring for a Good Cause.
